Biography
Matthew Antush brings 31 years of diverse and substantial experience to his role as a litigation attorney with Crouse Erickson. Matthew previously served as Spokane Municipal Court Judge. After a year as a Judge, he was selected by his fellow Judges to be the Presiding Judge overseeing the administrative operations of the court. In conjunction with his role as Presiding Judge, he served on boards, committees, and work groups with local community members, other Judges and Court Administrators across the State crafting proposed legislation, procedural rules of court, and policies for court administration. Following his service as a Municipal Court Judge, Matthew began work with Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington in 2022 and was integral in the re-start of an Immigration Legal Services Program. After completing this process for Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington, Matthew desired to return to litigation, where he had spent the majority of his career serving clients. He joined Crouse Erickson in October of 2023 and is focused on ensuring his clients receive high-quality, individual attention to their issues and needs. Matthew prides himself on providing exceptional service. Matt earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Western Washington University and his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating from Gonzaga University in 1992. During law school, Matthew served as Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review and volunteered with the Spokane Office of the Public Defender. Following law school graduation, Matthew had 25 years of experience serving thousands of clients in many different criminal law matters. Matthew will tell you that he is most fulfilled when he is in court serving his clients. Outside of court and litigation, Matthew loves snow skiing with his wife and children. He also finds great personal satisfaction in volunteer work for community activities.
